1. Bishop Arts District
The Bishop Arts District is an excellent place for spending the weekend in Dallas. This bustling neighborhood has been restored in the previous 15 years. It is home to more than 60 restaurants, boutiques, and bars. There is always anything new and intriguing to attempt.
There’s great pizza, intricate Bloody Marys, paintings, and enough unique businesses to keep you busy for several hours. Brunch at Boulevardier is a must. If you need a snack, stop by Emporium Pies and try their wonderful apple, biscuits, and cream or classic buttermilk pies.

2. Deep Ellum
Deep Ellum, east of the city center, goes back to the 1870s and has long been a hub for arts and music. The neighborhood has undergone a Renaissance. There are currently many attractions in Deep Ellum. If you’re unsure what to do in Dallas. Visit the town’s more than 60 restaurants, dozens of shops, and entertainment facilities.

Lower Greenville was once one of Dallas’ grittier areas. It is now a popular nightlife destination thanks to its many restaurants and bars. We enjoy it since there are so many options and it’s entertaining without being crazy.
We enjoy relaxing with a glass on HG Sply Co.’s rooftop patio, which offers stunning views of downtown. Terilli’s is another family favorite. You can have Italchos (Italian nachos) and a martini by the piano in the bar or the fireplace on the roof. It’s difficult to go wrong with the options in Lower Greenville.
4. Klyde Warren Park
First, there is free wifi, so you may spend the entire day working or playing online. But, there are better options available. Bring your dog to the dog park (or watch the cuteness). Or sample one of the many delicious food trucks that pass every day. There also features live music on certain nights, a children’s park, and a ping pong area. Touring Klyde Warren Park is one of the many delightful activities in Dallas.
5. ArtPark Trinity Groves
The ArtPark is covered in murals, graffiti, and sculptures created by local Dallas artists. The vibrant designs and one-of-a-kind objects serve as a backdrop for the festivities and meals. ArtPark has its restaurant and bar (in an upcycled shipping container, no less). The Trinity Groves complex serves a variety of cuisines. Including Asian delicacies, BBQ, and vegan options.
6. Try local craft beverages
Dallas boasts a thriving craft beverage scene. Peticolas Brewing Company stands out in the Design District. While Deep Ellum Brewing Company, located in (you guessed it), Deep Ellum, is not to be missed. Cidercade is also one of our favorites. Bishop Cider Co. offers a variety of products in their Design District location, ranging from sweeter, more apple-y versions to those flavored with hops. When you’re done tasting, you may play limitless rounds for only $12.
For wine, visit Main Street in Grapevine, where you’ll find many wonderful vineyards. For the heavier stuff, Texas has some fantastic distilleries. Check out Bendt Distilling Co., which is a few minutes away in Lewisville, or Firestone & Robertson Distilling if you’re in Fort Worth. There are numerous options in the DFW area.
7. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The Arboretum and Botanical Garden is an essential destination in Dallas year-round. It extends well beyond the normal garden. The intricate displays change with each season.
In the spring, there are magnificent tulips everywhere, as well as topiaries and big displays. It’s a popular spot for family photo shoots in the fall. Thanks to the beautiful marigolds, and spectacular pumpkin displays. And bright gourds that spread across the grounds. Whether you’re by yourself, dating, or with relatives. The Arboretum is an excellent area to take in the sights or maybe stop for a picnic if you’ve become motivated.
8. Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas was the inaugural park in the Six Flags network. It’s been an individual favorite of mine since I had to demonstrate my height when using the “big kid rides.” It remains one of the most popular attractions around Dallas due to its ongoing innovation.

You may ride coasters like the New Texas Giant, and spin 400 feet in the air on the website. Or have a calmer journey on the Judge Roy Scream. I particularly enjoy Six Flags over the holidays.
